  1. Presentation. In addition to the Word file with the text of the article, which should not contain data that identify the authors, another Word file with personal information should be attached to the submission: 1. Author(s). Institutional affiliation (ordered from highest to lowest, without abbreviations or acronyms); 4. ORCID number; 4. Brief biographical note (with emphasis on data relevant to the subject of the work being presented).
  2. General characteristics of the manuscript
  • The article should be in A4 format, with the following page margins: top: 2 cm; bottom: 2 cm; left: 2 cm; right: 2 cm. The text should be in Calibri font, size 11, single-spaced, with a spacing between paragraphs of 6 points (front and back). Paragraphs should not be indented.
  • Articles should not exceed 25 pages in length, including the abstract, bibliographical references and notes. Reviews should not exceed two pages.
  • Articles should have a title in Spanish and English and be preceded by an abstract in both languages containing between 100 and 250 words. At the end of each abstract, a list of keywords or descriptors should be included.
  • Title of the article. The title should be aligned to the left in Calibri 16, without bold and without a period at the end. If it includes the title of a work, it should be in italics. Below the title in Spanish, leaving a blank line, should be the title in English in Calibri 10, without bold. It is suggested that the title should be no longer than 15 words.
  • Abstract. It should be placed two lines below the institutional affiliation data. It should cover as much as possible the following aspects: purpose, theoretical approach, methodology, results and conclusions. Typography: Calibri 10, single spacing. The title (Abstract) should be aligned to the left, in lowercase (except for the initial) and in bold.
  • Keywords. These are nouns or nominal constructions. Between three and five keywords should be included. They should be placed below the abstract, separated from it by a space, in Calibri 10 font. Place the title of Keywords aligned to the left, in lower case (only the initial letter of the first word should be capitalized), in bold and followed by a colon (also in bold). Next, consign the keywords in lowercase and not bold. Example: Keywords: cognitive linguistics, emotion, metaphor.
  • Abstract and Keywords. The abstract in English should be placed after the keywords in Spanish, distanced from these by two blank lines. The abstract should be followed by the keywords in English. In both cases, the same guidelines apply as for the abstract and keywords in Spanish. After the keywords, and separated by two blank lines, the body of the paper should be placed.
  • Section headings and subheadings. Section titles, Introduction, Theoretical Framework (or Background or other macro-structural title(s)), Methodology, Results, Conclusions, and Bibliographical References, should be aligned to the left and in lower case and bold. Except for the title of the last section (Bibliographical references), which is written in Calibri 9, the other titles should be written in Calibri 11. The rest of the article may be organized in sections and subsections not exceeding three degrees of depth (1.1.1.). The titles of these sections are in lowercase, bold, Calibri font, size 11 and should be aligned to the left. A space is left under each title or subtitle.
  • Long quotations are those with more than 40 words. They are reproduced without quotation marks, single spaced, with two lines before and after the text of the quotation. The long quotation is double tabulated only on the left margin. Its origin is indicated by stating at the end of the quotation, the author's last name, the year of publication and the page; e.g.: (Kovacci, 1992, p. 12). Short quotations are those with up to 40 words. They are inside the text, between quotation marks and in the same typography as the text. To indicate their origin, the same indications should be followed as for long quotations. If the author's name is part of the sentence, only the year and pages should be placed in parentheses. The omission of the text of a quotation will be indicated by three dots between brackets, e.g.: [...]. In texts with three or more authors, only the name of the first author and "et al." are included.
  • They are placed at the foot of the page, numbered correlatively, single spaced, Calibri font, size 8. Notes should not be used for bibliographical references. The overhead number that refers to the note should be placed before the period.
  • Foreign words and metalanguage should be in italics; words to be emphasized should be in bold.
  • Tables, figures and graphs. They should be numbered consecutively and mentioned in the text in bold type, with the corresponding number. E.g. "The figure 1 shows [...]". Figures and graphs should be in .jpg format and have a resolution of no less than 300 DPI. Graphs and figures should be titled at the bottom and tables above them without bold in Calibri 8 font. After the title of the graph or figure should be placed the source from which they were extracted, in case they do not belong to the author. Graphs, figures and tables should be centered and preceded by at least one sentence describing, analyzing or explaining them. In addition, a space should be left between the presentation title and the graphic organizer.
  • They should be numbered consecutively and preceded by a number in parentheses. When each example is referred to in the article, it should be mentioned with the corresponding number in parentheses. Example: "Example (1) evidences [...]".
  • The complete data of the work is placed in bold, Calibri 11, including page numbers and ISBN. The title of the work is in italics. Below these data, separated by a space and to the right, in Calibri 10 font, is the name of the author of the review in bold and below, the data of the institution to which he/she belongs, without highlighting in bold. Ex:
