Between the Gears: An Interview with Julián Urman

Abstract

The interview with Argentine writer and multidisciplinary artist Julián Urman explores a body of work that transcends the traditional boundaries of literature by integrating writing with film, music, performance, and digital languages. Through a discussion of his trajectory and works such as No te mates en mi cultivo de marihuana (2020) and Riñón pélvico (2024), Urman reflects on contemporary creative processes and the tensions among authorship, technology, and subjectivity.
