Abstract

In these notes, the editor reconstructs the web of unforeseen events and discoveries that shaped the current issue. The narrative begins with the need to postpone original editorial plans to address a more pressing matter: the farewell to Emilia de Zuleta, whose passing—occurring just twenty days after a vibrant tribute at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo—is interpreted here as the completion of a lifelong mission. Furthermore, the editor explains how the cancellation of a scheduled dossier led to an open call for papers which, far from resulting in a disjointed miscellany, revealed an unexpected network of resonances. The analysis explores this spontaneous arrangement of materials, which fluctuates between the Global North and South, and between a present-day reality questioned at its limits and a vanguardist past that once projected its utopian power toward the future.
