In this paper, the aim is, on the one hand, to examine two works by Rivera Garza –La imaginación pública (2015) y Lo roto precede a lo entero (2021)– as models of communal and rupture-based textuality and, on the other hand, to point out the appropriation of these theories by Sara Uribe in Un montón de escritura para nada (2019) and Veronica Gerber Bicecci in La Compañía (2023). The purpose of this approach is to underline how certain theoretical proposals by Rivera Garza take shape in her own texts, and how they have served as a guiding framework in the writing path of these other authors.
