Ethical code

Revista Médica Universitaria follows the ethical rules recommended by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

In relation to the ethical responsibilities in studies carried out on human beings, it must be indicated whether the procedures followed comply with ethical standards and have the approval of the Institutional or external or regional Research Ethics Committee. When studies or experiments on animals are described, it should be indicated whether the guidelines of an institution (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, IACUC), international research council, or a national regulatory law have been followed.

Regarding informed consent, it should be mentioned in Materials and methods that the procedures used in patients and controls have been performed after obtaining informed consent.

If photographs or patient data are reproduced, the authors are responsible for obtaining written consent, authorizing their publication, reproduction and online dissemination.
